More about our Services
Vaccinations and Annual Heartworm injections
Vaccinations are an important part of every pet’s preventative healthcare, with several potentially deadly pet diseases easily prevented. Our vet will advise which vaccines are appropriate for your pet, depending on age, vaccination history, and risk factors, to ensure that they have an appropriate level of protection. We use the latest three year Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) vaccination protocols to provide your pet with maximum protection and minimum injections and costs.
All vaccination fees (listed above) include the home visit and full physical examination, and special rates are available for multiple pets seen during the same visit. We also offer the yearly Proheart SR-12 injection, which gives your dog 12 months of protection against heartworm with a single prick… nothing could be easier!
New puppy and kitten starter programs
You have just brought your new bundle of joy (and fur) home… it may be your first puppy or kitten, or it may be a long time since you had one to look after. Whatever the case, VetMobile is here to help… we will help you give your pet the best start in life with appropriate vaccinations, parasite control, pet care and training advice, and nutrition. Need advice about a new puppy or kitten? Call us now to have a chat with our vet.
Puppy and kitten litter discounts are available for breeders. Call for details.
Internal and external parasite control
Just like any vet clinic, we carry a full range of internal and external parasite control, which we sell at well below retail price. In fact we sell them to you during a home visit at the same low prices listed in our Online Pet Shop and with no delivery charge! Just let us know what flea and tick, heartworm, or worming medication your pet needs when making your appointment.
Physical Examinations and Health Checks
Annual health checks (usually done with their vaccination) are recommended as a minimum standard for all pets… which is like a person only going to the doctor every 7 years! Not only do you get a chance to discuss any health concerns, it enables the early diagnosis of many conditions, and recommendations can be made for keeping them in top condition. In the event that your pet is unwell, VetMobile is equipped to perform a full physical examination.
Basic Diagnostic Pathology
VetMobile comes equipped to perform basic, routine diagnostic tests. If more extensive testing is required we have access to a pathology laboratory or we will refer you to an appropriate veterinary hospital.
Management of common and long-term health problems
Unfortunately some health problems require long term management. This often means multiple vet visits (often not with the same vet) over the course of several years and an evolving treatment plan which responds to your pet’s changing health. Pets in these circumstances will benefit from having their own personal vet managing their condition according to an individualised treatment plan, all in the comfort of their home.
Senior wellness and arthritis management
The good news is that our pets are living longer. The bad news is that can be a challenge to maintain their quality of life as they age. One senior health issue that many pets face is osteoarthritis and joint degeneration. Fortunately there is much that can be done to restore your pet’s quality of life and ensure that they get the most out of their ‘retirement’. Book a senior pet consultation with our vet today… you will notice the difference in your pet.
Acupuncture can be an effective part of a larger treatment and management plan for a number of conditions. We are happy to offer this service by referral where appropriate.
Behaviour assessment and modification
Behavioural issues have a dramatic effect on our relationship we have with our pet. It is much easier to assess and address such issues during a home consultation… unless your pet is one of the very few who behaves ‘normally’ when they are at the vet hospital! If a more extensive behaviour modification plan is required you also have the option of referral to a behavioural specialist.
Obesity and weight control programs
Unfortunately our modern lifestyle can have an unhealthy impact on our pets as well as ourselves. Vets are seeing an epidemic of pets with weight problems, which has long term implications for their health including cardiovascular effects and excessive strain on joints and hips. VetMobile can help your pet regain their playfulness and vigour by designing an individualised weight reduction and control program. We also have weight control foods in stock (let us know before your appointment) or purchase them online.
Veterinary and pet products
Browse the full range of pet products in our Online Pet Shop and have your pet supplies delivered to your door from $5.95 shipping Australia Wide, or for free with a home visit (please let us know what your pet needs before your appointment).
